Log a flight

You can log a flight from the Flights page or directly from one of your bookings.

  1. Open Flights → Log Flight, or select Log Flight from a booking.
  2. Enter the flight details, including the aircraft, optional booking, PIC and remarks.
  3. Enter the route and times, including departure and arrival locations, dates, brakes off/on, takeoff and landing.
  4. Enter fuel and oil details as required.
  5. Add at least one landing, including the location, landing fee, payment method and whether it was a touch-and-go.
  6. Add any refuels.
  7. If needed, select Log a defect before saving the flight.

The PIC can be any group member or active ad-hoc pilot. Flying hours are calculated from brakes off to brakes on.

Landing fees and refuels

For each landing fee or refuel, choose who paid

Paid directly by member - you paid the cost yourself.

Via syndicate - the cost was paid through the syndicate.

This affects the amount calculated for the flight. See Flight costs for more information.

After saving

Open a flight to review its route, times, fuel, landings, refuels and calculated flight cost.

You can add further landings or refuels later. Existing defects can also be edited from the flight record, while new defects must be added when logging a flight or from the aircraft page.
