Overview
Each flight includes a cost breakdown showing the total cost of the flight and how much is owed to the syndicate.
The calculation uses the aircraft's hourly rate, whether it uses a wet or dry rate, and how landing fees and fuel were paid.
Wet and dry rates
The aircraft's rate type is stored against each flight, so historical costs remain unchanged if the aircraft settings are updated later.
Wet rate - fuel is included in the hourly rate. Fuel paid directly by the member reduces the amount owed to the syndicate. Fuel paid by the syndicate is already covered by the hourly rate.
Dry rate — fuel is not included in the hourly rate. Fuel paid by the syndicate is added to the amount owed.
Flight cost
Flight Cost shows the member's total cost for the flight, including flying time, landing fees and fuel.
Costs paid directly by the member still count towards the total flight cost, even though they do not need to be repaid to the syndicate.
Amount owed to the syndicate
Pay to syndicate - shown as Owed to syndicate on the Dashboard - is the amount the member needs to pay back to the syndicate for recent flights. The cost per flight can be seen when looking at an individual flight.
It includes:
- the hourly flying charge
- landing fees paid by the syndicate
- fuel paid by the syndicate on dry-rate aircraft
For wet-rate aircraft, fuel paid directly by the member is deducted from the hourly charge.
